Spare Parts, Services & Support

Keeping both systems and operators in top shape, with latest training, parts and upgrades makes a large impact for the whole system

MAINTAINED SYSTEMS PROTECT AIRCRAFT AND SAVE LIVES

Since being established in 2005, ATECH has been a manufacturer of assemblies and parts for the U.S. Department of Defense. Since then we’ve proven to be a reliable, high-quality supplier of both system parts and complete installations of arresting systems.

Aircraft Arresting Systems require meticulous maintenance to ensure optimal performance. The effectiveness of these life-saving systems depends not only on their condition but also on the proficiency of the operators. To support the sustained operation of your emergency arresting systems, we provide comprehensive spare parts, including components for legacy systems, ensuring that your equipment remains functional according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.

Our offerings include specialized overhaul kits complete with certified work instructions, enabling you to conduct your own overhauls with confidence. Regular maintenance and overhauls are critical to keeping your arresting systems fully operational, ready to safely arrest, brake, and stop an aircraft in distress at any moment. Additionally, we provide life extension solutions and system upgrades to enhance the longevity and performance of your existing systems.

We also offer extensive technical support, detailed drawings, and certifications, alongside training programs designed to maintain peak performance of both your equipment and personnel. Our team is dedicated to assisting you with all aspects of your aircraft arresting system needs.

Spare parts

Maintaining the operational readiness of arresting systems requires ongoing upkeep. We provide spare parts for both current and legacy systems, regardless of age or obsolescence. Our dedicated after-sales team and skilled engineers deliver effective solutions. OEM spare parts, replacement kits, and system upgrades come with full quality certification and warranty. Some components may need replacement after aircraft engagements, routine inspections, or upon reaching their service limits. To ensure optimal system performance and reliability, source essential parts like tapes, pendant cables, tape connectors, support blocks, shear pins, and suspension lines directly from us.

Overhauls

For scheduled maintenance and overhauls of emergency arresting systems, specific components must undergo inspection or mandatory replacement. Our after-sales team is ready to assist with your parts requests. If you need help determining the required components or have already identified an obsolete sub-system, we are here to support you. In cases of obsolescence, we can recommend fully compliant parts or a suitable replacement kit. Additionally, we offer on-site technical support to plan, oversee, and certify the overhaul process. Training sessions can be arranged either in advance or alongside our on-site assistance.

Upgrades

Upgrade or modernization of an existing arresting system can be a cost effective alternative in case of changes in operating aircraft fleet or the need of improving reliability and availability. Upgrade of retractable hook cable system to hydraulic operation, replace gasoline engines with modern multi-fuel engines, and to introduce long lasting arresting nets are good examples of available upgradation packages. Life extension projects may include exchange of electrical control cabinets, improved remote communication and interfaces to modern ATC solutions.

Technical support

At the initial stages of a project—whether during prospecting or specification development—our engineering team is ready to assist with performance simulations, geometric analysis, and tailored technical recommendations. As the arresting system remains in operation, our after-sales and engineering teams continue to provide remote support and guidance. If troubleshooting instructions and checklists do not resolve an issue, we can arrange an on-site visit to diagnose and address the problem directly.
