About Us
Established in 2005, ATECH began as a manufacturer of assemblies and parts for the U.S. Department of Defense’s Aircraft Launching, Landing and Ground Handling Equipment Program.
The history does go further back in time than that. ATECH, together with parent company SCAMA, based in Väderstad – Sweden, represent more than 50 years of knowhow and experience in arresting military aircraft. SCAMA was founded in 1972 and prioritizes quality engineering and both carries and preserves world leading expertise in the field of absorbing energy. ATECH is an approved manufacturer of US MIL standard AAS and an OEM turn-key systems supplier.
ATECH has since proved to be a reliable and responsible supplier of arresting systems parts and complete installations on both fixed and mobile aircraft arresting systems. We provide all necessary documentation including operational manuals, maintenance instructions, fault searching procedures, overhaul manuals and the required detailed procedures, all necessary spare parts for support of the arresting systems including corrective maintenance and scheduled overhaul parts. We also engage in contracts to modernize and replace obsolete design solutions. We offer upgrades to improve and extend the service life of existing inventories.
The core of the ATECH team constitutes USAF (Ret) technicians with extensive training and experience in operating, maintaining, overhauling and training on all types of fixed and mobile MIL standard AAS. We also pride ourselves in providing certified trainers to train and support air forces and contractors in all aspects of operation, support, maintenance and overhaul of aircraft arresting systems.
